This mixture makes the 8 donuts in the
mould and two large muffins as well!
Ingredients:
40g oats (HEB)
1 grated apple (I used a granny smith as I
like them)
1 Muller light (I used the apple &
elderflower flavor)
2 tablespoons syn free sweetener
2 eggs
1 teaspoon mixed spice
Orange essence – you may wish to use
vanilla but I liked the apple/orange mix it was nice. You only need a few drops though whatever you
choose to flavor with
Butter fry lite
Method:
Pre heat the oven to 180 or gas mark 6
Blitz your oats in a food processor, you
need to do this with the donuts and not with the muffins as you’re aiming for a
‘batter’ like consistency
Put the blitzed oats in a large bowl
Mix all your apple donut ingredients thoroughly |
Add the grated apple and other ingredients
and mix thoroughly
Lightly spray your silicone donut mould
with butter fry lite to make sure they pop out easily
Carefully spoon the apple donut mixture onto the mould |
Using a smallish spoon, put the mixture in
the donut holes making sure you leave the ring shape
If you have an extra mixture (as I did)
make a couple of extra muffins. I added
sultanas to the muffins and they wee really good!
Bake at 180 for @30 minutes or until golden
Leave to cool or a good 10 minutes before
turning them out of the mould or the donuts will stick
When you’re ready to serve dust lightly
with syn free sweetener and decorate with fruit or yiu could serve with quark
mixed with an options shot for extra decadence!
