Chocolate Jelly Sweets

2 syns for them all!

Anyone that’s made this recipe before can see I’ve tweaked the recipe.  I did not change the ingredients but I tried making the method easier and have to say after trialing a few batches there was no need to faff about with the making a paste and what not.  The jellies come out exactly the same when you chuck it in together so my new (easier) method is here:

Ingredients

2 sachets gelatin
¼ pint boiling water
2 level tablespoons drinking chocolate
1 Muller Light
2 tablespoons syn free sweetner
Few drops of essence (see below for flavour ideas)

Method

Put the gelatin, drinking chocolate and sweetener in a cup
Measure ¼ pint boiling water and pour into a bowl
Tip all the dry ingredient in and whisk well – you want the lumps to dissolve
Add the capful of essence
Whisk again
Add the Muller Light
Mix again
Put in the moulds and refridgerate for a couple of hours or overnight – easy!

OK, now some people have said that these are like dark chocolate which is ok but if you prefer a ‘lighter’ or more milk chocolate jelly replace 1 of the 2 tablespoons of drinking chocolate with a sachet of chocolate options.

I’ve tried (and trialed on my friends!) a lot of different flavor combinations and posted some below to help you with ideas but I’m always looking for something new so let me know what you think:

Flavour options:

After eight style:  peppermint essence with vanilla and chocolate or mint chocolate Muller Light

After eight milk: same as above but swap 1 tbsp drinking chocolate for a mint chocolate options sachet

Turkish delight: rosewater essence and chocolate vanilla Muller Light

Chocolate orange:  orange essence and chocolate orange Muller Light

Milk chocolate orange: same as above but swap 1 tbsp drinking chocolate for a chocolate orange options sachet

Rolo style: salted caramel essence and vanilla or salted caramel and peanut Muller Light

Dark chocolate and lemon:  lemon essence with 2 Greek style Muller light yogurts (these are an extra syn from the Greek yogurts)

White chocolate:  different to make and super sweet, the recipe is here

White chocolate jellies
Almost syn free Turkish Delight
