Chilli Chocolate Bites

These chilli chocolate bites are perfect if you want something cake-ish but not sweet…the chilli cuts through any overt sweetness and leaves a really warm tingle!

I used crushed chilli flakes for this but you could finely cut a fresh chilli too, just adjust it slightly or you might blow your head off a bit!

The mix comes in at 15 syns including chocolate drops from which I made 24 small bites which is ¾ of a syn each

Ingredients:

50g SR flour (8 syns)
3 eggs
1 sachet options fudge (2 syns)
2 tsp cocoa (2 syns)
3 tablespoons vanilla fat free yogurt
4 tbsp syn free sweetener
2 tsp chocolate essence
12.5g dark chocolate drops (3 syns)
1 teaspoon crushed red chilli flakes
3 tablespoon water
Sunflower frylite

Method:

Preheat the oven to gas mark 6 or 180 degrees
Lightly spray the muffin mould and fill each space
Lightly spray mini muffin tin with frylite (I used the sunflower one) and add a tablespoon of the mix to each one, I found the above amount perfectly filled the 24 bun moulds

Bake for 12 minutes, et voila - low syn chilli chocolate bites!
Mix everything together, forming a batter and cook for @12 mins.  I mixed the dry ingredients first just to make sure the chilli flakes were well distributed.  You don't have to do this, just make sure everything is well blended.

Leave to cool and serve, I tried them warm (!!!) and the chocolate drops were still slightly melted and gooey, absolutely delicious
