Ingredients
4 x big packs of 5% mince
2 x passata with garlic and chilli
2 x chilli or Taco seasoning (it’s 3 syns a pack but this
makes about 20 portions so that’s ok)..I use Taco because it’s tasy/spicy without
being as hot
3 x cans red kidney beans in chilli sauce
Garlic
3 x red onions
Any veg you like (I use peppers and mushrooms too)
Some bisto made thick, maybe a cup full
Few drops Worcester sauce
¼ teaspoon curry powder
¼ teaspoon chilli flakes
Garlic fry lite
Method
Put the passata and chilli beans in the slow cooker and turn
on low
Batch cook the mince either dry or with garlic fry
lite. As you’re browning it add ½ a
packet of chilli seasoning so it coats the meat. As you finish each batch put the mince in the
slow cooker
Chop onions and garlic and lightly fry in garlic fry lite, when
translucent add to slow cooker
If you want to use red wine add a cupful to the pan you used
to cook the onions and garlic and heat, deglaze the pan by cooking the wine,
getting the yummy tasty bits in the pan and add the reduced wine to the slow
cook
If you want to add peppers and mushrooms add raw to the slow cooker, they don’t need pre cooking

Make your bisto thick and add that too along with the Worcester
sauce, curry powder, chilli flakes and if you want some tomato puree.
Give it all a huge stir and leave it for a
good 3 hours, then taste it and adjust to what you want. I like mine meaty so I might add some bisto granules,
mixed herbs, garlic or even a chicken stock cube. It’s just tweaking it to taste at this
stage. Then leave it for another couple
of hours to simmer and infuse before serving.
Try with boiled basmati rice or courgetti spagetti

You can also use leftover chilli to stuff a courgette, it sounds weird but it's so good. Just scoop the middle out of your courgette with a teaspoon and fill with chilli. Bake at gas mark 6 for about 20 minutes then add some cheese (either your HEA or syn it), bake for another 10 minutes or until golden brown. I served with a cous cous/roasted veg combo but you can have salad or whateve ryou like with it.
